9 Months and Moving!

It has been 3 months since I last posted....Livie has changed a lot! She is crawling all over the place, pulling up and as active as she possibly can be. She hates taking naps, and is down to about two 30 minute naps a day...which makes for a very long day for Mommy! She is at First Baptist 3 days a week and absolutely loves it! She has started eating some table foods...she loves toast, pancakes, and canteloupe. Her best friend is Lucy, our sweet, hyper dog and they love to chase each other around the house!

What a difference 6 months makes!

Well, Livie is 6 months old and she amazes us by the day. When everyone told us it goes by quickly, they weren't kidding! She is sitting on her own now, but every now and then she will topple over still. She really wants to crawl. She is able to get into the crawling position but just rocks back and forth for now. Its so cute! She has her favorite toys...her poodle from Aunt Missy and her teething rings (of course). She has started "talking" really loud. We went into Best Buy this weekend and Matt dropped me off in front and him and Livie came in to meet me after they parked. I am looking a GPS's and hear a child talking really loud and I am thinking to myself who lets their child do that in a store...sure enough I turn around and there is Matt and Livie (the loud child in the store). Needless to say, she likes to hear herself. We have really enjoyed these past 6 months and cherish every minute because she is growing by the day!

Livie's 4 month appt

Everything went great at Livie's 4 month appointment. She weighs 14lbs 5 oz. (big girl!) and is 23 inches long. Her shots were not half as bad this time as the first. 2 days after her well visit, Livie got a stomach bug ...her first illness :( It was so sad, but we got through it. She is doing great...rolling around all over the place and really loves to watch Lucy. She thinks her daddy is the funniest person ever and I think she may be a daddy's girl... I Just wanted to share some new pics!

4 Months Already!

I have been pretty slack on the blog lately. I didn't realize how hard it is to get little things done with a baby. I can't believe that our Little Livie is 4 months old tomorrow! She is looking more and more like Daddy! We go today for her second round of immunizations. Livie amazes us more every day. She has been rolling over in her crib for about a month now. She likes to sleep on her stomach with her butt in the air. She loves when we read books and to play with her first baby doll. Her favorite books are Olivia (of course) and Puppy Love. We are having so much fun with her! I will post how the dr. visit goes!

Livie is here!!

I have been very slack on my blog since Livie was born. We are loving every minute of having her around. Life has definitely changed...but we absolutely love her! Livie was born January 15, 2010 and weighed 6 lbs 15 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. She looks just like her daddy! Lucy is enjoying having a baby sister around and seems to think that she had the baby. I wanted to post some pics while I had a free second...hope you enjoy!

6 more days!!

I went to the dr. today for my 39 week check-up. I have finally dialated 1 cm...i know thats not much but at least its progress!! I cant believe there are only 6 days left until Livie's due date. But I am very ready!! Hopefully, she will come by Sunday...if not they are going to induce me next week. I have been "nesting" like crazy! I have run out of things to clean in my house...I know that I wont be able to say that again anytime soon! Now we are just playing the waiting game. Hopefully, the next time I post- they will be pictures of our little girl!!

Livie's Baby Shower

My wonderful friends threw a beautiful baby shower for Livie and I in October. Everything was perfect!! I have the best friends ever!!! I wanted to post some pics from my shower for all to see!

Olivia's Nursery

Well, we finally got most of Livie's furniture ordered. All we have left to get is her Glider and some more nursery decor. I found these wall letters on etsy that a lady out of Charleston custom designs. I love them...she just did them for Sarah Jessica Parkers twin girls, so I had to order some for Livie. She is painting them to match her bedding. Here are some samples of her work:

Baby Olivia... 23 weeks and counting

We had our 23 week checkup today. Everything went well! They said Olivia sounds like a really happy girl in there..her heartbeat was in the 150's. From this point on Olivia gains around 6 oz. per week....she weighs more than a pound and a half right now and sports a crown-to-rump length of about eight and a half inches (standard letter size!). According to What to Expect, my email this week says:
Wondering what (and who) your baby will look like? If you had a baby cam, you'd almost be able to tell by now. That beautiful face (though still tiny) is almost fully formed.
I have my next appt. in 3 1/2 weeks where I will take my glucose screening....then after that I will have an appointment every 2 weeks until little Livie is born. I cant wait!

We got Olivia's baby shower invitations and they are sooooo cute!! I love them...I am going to have one framed for her! As far as the nursery, the paint is finally done (very pale pink) the crib is ordered (a white sleigh crib) and now we are in the process of finding a dresser. Its amazing to think Olivia will be here in 16 weeks!

It's a Girl!!!

We had our big Ultrasound today! Everything looks great! It is confirmed...we are having a baby girl! She is measuring exactly at her due date and weighs 1/2 a pound. We even got to see a 3D ultrasound-its so neat!!! Now I can officially start shopping for girl stuff :) I will start having my appointments every 5 weeks instead of 4 since everything looks good. I will be sure to keep everyone updated.

Checkup 14 1/2 weeks

Just a quick note. I had my 14 1/2 week checkup today. The doctor said everything looks great. I got to hear the heartbeat again....it was 138. The nurse said that she thinks I will have a boy (but thats just a guess)- we will know in 3 1/2 weeks!!

Officially in the 2nd Trimester!!

As of today, I am officially in my second trimester!! They say you have more energy in your second trimester.... and maybe its in my head but I woke up early this morning and had so much energy I went straight to the gym. I recieved this email this morning from babycenter.com

Welcome to the second trimester! This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb. Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb. In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces.

I go in for my 14 1/2 week checkup on Wednesday and then its only 3 1/2 weeks until we will find out the gender of our little baby! I am getting so impatient!

3 months down, 6 to go!

I went to the doctor today for a 12 week checkup. The nurse came in and searched for the heartbeat and we couldnt hear it...so the doctor tried. And thats a really scary feeling when they tell you they cant hear it. So, they decided to do an ultrasound. It was so exciting!! I couldnt believe how much the baby has grown! The reason they couldnt hear the heartbeat with the doppler was because the baby decided to lay upside down. Looks like we've got a wild one! It was so funny! The babys arms were crossed over the heart and the heartbeat was 150. Which the nurse said was great! I asked if she could tell the gender and she said its too early. I cannot wait to find out. Only 6 more weeks! Hope everyone has a Happy 4th week!

10 1/2 weeks

I had my second dr. appt today at Piedmont OBGYN. Everything looks great and healthy! I got to hear our babys hearbeat again and it was such an amazing experience!! We find out the gender of our little baby on August 15th!! We cant wait...I am getting toward the end of my first trimester and still feel great! Hopefully, I will make it through without having any morning sickness. I will be sure to keep everyone updated!

What a Wonderful Life!

Well, this whole blogging thing is new to me, but we wanted a way to let friends and family know what is going on with our lives, as we just found out we are going to be parents at the beginning of next year!! We are so excited and thought that this would be a fun way to share this time with you. Our due date is January 10th, 2010- I had my first ultra sound at 6 1/2 weeks and we got to hear the babys heartbeat. It was so neat...to be honest I thought that it was my heartbeat -until the nurse told me it wasnt. My next Doctors appointment is June 17th. We will continue to keep everyone updated.
